Black Holes in the Sand

This EP from singer songwriter Nick Talbot is the first in which Talbot is joined by drummer Dave Collingwood and instrumentalist Paul Nash and sees the trio delve deeper into the lyrical and musical tradition of English folk. That return to folk roots is particularly apparent on the spellbinding ballardy of Flowers in Her Hair and the rural paean Winter Moon. Elsewhere though, Talbot takes a psychedelic turn on Still Water and Flashlight Seasons and offers his own unique interpretation of Hüsker Dü’s Diane.
