Hyperdub press up Ikonoklast and Yoshimitsu from Ikonika's sterling debut album, backed with rugged machine funk and Juke reworks from Funkineven and Joh.

The lead cut is as cutely crooked as anything from her considerable catalogue, creating a holographic 8-bit prism of wibbly synths and silicon-crisp drums, while album highlight Yoshimitsu is one of her most elegant and melodically considered compositions to date.

On a remix tip Funkineven riffs on the original arabesque 8-bit curls of Idiot adding ruff-jacking yet ornate drum machine rhythms to Idiot while the mysterious Joh mechanically separates the constituent bits of Ikonoklast and rebuilds them it as a tangy Footwork confection.
